How did you come up with the plot?

I was always a dreamer of romance and adventure in foreign lands. At home at night alone with my daughter while my husband worked the night shift, the story came to me when a music video sparked my imagination. I love music. I love the music business, and I previously lived and worked for 20 years in South Florida as a legal assistant, where I experienced first-hand the twists and turns of the criminal justice system in a state whose physical location and trendy, transient lifestyle are a natural draw for the rough beat of the drug trade.

All of these things influenced me to write about bringing the music business and the drug trade together in a fast-moving love story and adventure that never stays idle for long.

What do you like about Perilous Circles?

I love the characters and their commitment to each other even in the worst of circumstances. And I love how this book appeals to the lifestyle, attitude, and desires of today’s woman who enjoys believable, self-assured characters who explore tender romance in the setting of a plot-driven, intriguing mystery. Told through the eyes of different characters sharing a series of subplots, the reader is carried to different lands and different cultures, all the while discovering danger and long-buried secrets that culminate into an explosive confrontation with an unexpected finale.

Are you planning to write a sequel?

Taylor and Craig have lived in my mind for a very long time and I've taken them on quite a few new adventures. I continue to toss around several ideas and plan to eventually write the sequel.

What was it like publishing an E-book?

Perilous Circles was originally a softbound book until it was purchased by Extasy Books, Inc. The publishing industry is changing. The large publishing houses are taking on fewer books. It's gotten more difficult for authors to get their work published for the masses. 98% of all manuscripts are rejected and not because they aren't great works of the written word. Now with E-books available at a much lower price than traditional books, authors are able to get their books published and folks can buy more books for their dollar. The Internet and E-book sites like Extasy are wonderful promotional tools in getting the word out about a newly published book.
